Weather Terms Glossary For Your Weather Station Reading

A weather station is a perfect device to monitor indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. It provides the real time temperature, relative humidity, dew point, barometric pressure…. readouts on display. On the other hand, it is capable of forecasting the incoming local weather in graphical format by detecting the atmospheric pressure changes. Planning your next move will be much easier right now.

To understand your data reading, please check the following weather terms glossary:

Temperature

Temperature is a measure of how fast the motion of the molecules of a substance. The thermometer is used to measure the temperature by the degree of hotness and coldness. Celsius °C and Fahrenheit °F are most common scales and units for measuring temperature.

The temperature range of Smart Wireless Indoor & Outdoor Weather Station and Smart Wireless Multi-channels Weather Station is between 0 °C and 50°C (32℉-122℉) for the indoor or outdoor comparative measurement.

Relative Humidity

The relative humidity is displayed by the percentage. It is the type of humidity as the ratio of Actual Vapor Density of the air to the Saturation Vapor Density by the certain temperature. In general, relative humidity tells you how moist the air is. Changes of relative humidity is an effect on human discomfort at a given temperature. A reading of a higher percentage tells you that the air is more moisture. Colder air can hold less moisture than warmer air so the relative humidity will be lower.

The humidity range of Smart Wireless Indoor & Outdoor Weather Station and Smart Wireless Multi-channels Weather Station is between 1% and 99°C.

Dew Point

The dew point is the temperature to which air must be cooled to become saturated with water vapor. In our life, Dew point is also effective and tells you how human feel comfort as the humidity. Dew point is the relation of humidity and is a function to check the humidity and air temperature. If the RH is higher, dew point temperature is closer to air temperature. If the RH is 100%, dew point temperature and the air temperature are the same. Low dew point can make human feel more comfortable than the high dew point.

The dew point of Smart Wireless Indoor & Outdoor Weather Station and Smart Wireless Multi-channels Weather Station is on display.

Heat Index

The heat index is the index about how you feel the temperature and it combines the air temperature and relative humidity. It is not a measure as like the air temperature. In the different area of indoor, shade or sunny, the heat index tells you how much you feel the air temperature which will be different from the real air temperature.
